Advent Calendar Kit - The Kaleidocatty Blanket - 2026 - Installments

This is the installment plan option; you'll be charged the amount shown four times in total, on the same day every month.

Curl up under the Kaleidocatty Blanket. (Cats love a woolly-wool lap-blanket.) It's a modular hexagonal colourwork blanket - but it can be assembled as a wrap, scarf, a bag or a scattering of tiny cushions instead. It's a lot of fun to knit!

The kit contains;

• 25 mini-skeins or five 100gr skeins - individually wrapped and labelled. The packaging will all be recyclable, and as minimal as I can make it while still keeping the yarn a secret and the unwrapping fun.
• 4 100gr skeins - two in white for the colourwork, and two in a coordinating grey to work the borders.
  
• the blanket pattern
• a second scrap-using pattern of your choice
• plus a few little crafty extras scattered throughout the calendar, including an extra-special extra for Christmas day.

Yarn

DK wool - a springy, bouncy, sturdy wool with a bit of crunch and character.
(45m in each 20g skein, or 225m in each 100gr skein)

DK merino (organic) - a soft merino yarn with a lovely drape.
 (45m in each 20g skein, or 225m in each 100gr skein)

Colours

This year we're burrowing into the fallen leaves, admiring the glistening frost, tiptoeing past the hibernators and keeping our eyes peeled for the first hint of spring. It's Cats In The Winter Garden!

Expect soft ochres and sages, heathery purples, faded rose and icy blues, with a mixture of semi-solid and some very subtle variegation. You'll unwrap a slowly-emerging rainbow.

The yarn shown isn't the yarn that will be in the calendar - that would ruin the surprise. It's the last several  years advent dyes.

Extras

Add on a project bag and enamel pin in a new-for-advent catty design, or go for the whole adventstravaganza, and get the stitchmarker calendar as well. This year, expect soft shades and garden creatures as well as - of course! - plenty of cats.
