The Toebean Top is swooshy and flowy. It's a big-sleeved, swanning-about sort of creation, with a gentle lace yoke, an even gentler smattering of lace on the body and sleeves, and pretty detailing at the edges. In keeping with this year's Catty Gothvent theme, it's the sort of top that would fit right in at a midnight showing of a crushed-velvet 90s vampire film.
The pattern will have options for making a cardigan or a sweater.
The kit contains;
- 25 mini-skeins or 5 full sized 100gr skeins. Each skein will be labelled and wrapped. The packaging will all be recyclable, and as minimal as I can make it while still keeping the yarn a secret and the unwrapping fun.
- 2 x 100gr contrast skeins - in a deep dark grey.
- the Toebean Top pattern, plus a second scrap-friendly pattern of your choice
- plus little crafty extras scattered throughout the calendar, including an extra-special extra for Christmas day.
This is the single-payment calendar. You can find all the installment options here.
Yarns
4-ply sleek merino (organic) - this is a smooth, sleek merino with a gentle shine.
4-ply camel-silk - an utterly lush soft, shining, drapey yarn.
4-ply yak/silk (100gr only) - also an incredibly soft, lush yarn.
Colours
This year we're going dark. The yarn will be a shimmering rainbow of deep, saturated jewel tones, haunted by spooks and ghouls, bats and little black cats, and crushed-velvet 90s-vampire-movie extras.
The yarn shown isn't the yarn that will be in the calendar - that would ruin the surprise. It's the last two years advent dyes.
Extras
Add on a project bag and enamel pin in a new-for-advent catty design, or go for the whole adventstravaganza, and get the stitchmarker calendar as well. This year's theme is A Spooky Catvent, so expect cats and bats, cobwebs, spooks, vampires, creepy woods and haunted houses.
If you add the stitchmarker calendar I'll be in touch nearer the time to check which style of markers you'd like.
