Last year's big new pattern was the Catvent Wrap, a long striped shawl-wrap that can work as a giant winter cocoon-scarf or as a more elegant draped wrap. It also makes a wonderful cat nest.
The Catvent Wrap has 25 panels, each with a little gentle knit excitement, and the finished, blocked wrap is 270cm long and 60cm deep.
The kit contains;
- 25 mini-skeins or 5 full sized 100gr skeins. Each skein will be labelled and wrapped. The packaging will all be recyclable, and as minimal as I can make it while still keeping the yarn a secret and the unwrapping fun.
- 2 x 100gr contrast skeins - one in soft silver and one in a grey-black.
- the wrap pattern, plus a second scrap-friendly pattern of your choice
- plus little crafty extras scattered throughout the calendar, including an extra-special extra for Christmas day.
This is the single-payment calendar. You can find all the installment options here.
Yarns
4-ply wool - this is a springy, bouncy, sturdy wool with a bit of crunch and character.
4-ply merino bounce - this is a lovely soft and bouncy high-twist fine merino.
4-ply sleek merino (organic) - this is a smooth, sleek merino with a gentle shine.
4-ply camel-silk - an utterly lush soft, shining, drapey yarn.
The wool yarns are pictured in a little lineup. They're ordered, left to right, as;
- DK wool
- 4ply wool
- DK merino
- Bounce merino
- Sleek merino
Colours
This year we're going dark. The yarn will be a shimmering rainbow of deep, saturated jewel tones, haunted by spooks and ghouls, bats and little black cats, and crushed-velvet 90s-vampire-movie extras.
The yarn shown isn't the yarn that will be in the calendar - that would ruin the surprise. It's the last two years advent dyes.
Extras
Add on a project bag and enamel pin in a new-for-advent catty design, or go for the whole adventstravaganza, and get the stitchmarker calendar as well. This year's theme is A Spooky GothCatvent.
If you add the stitchmarker calendar I'll be in touch nearer the time to check which style of markers you'd like.
