Penannular shawl brooches have been used since Roman times, although they're most commonly associated with the celtic period. My take is quite a minimalist one, showcasing the lovely stones and the sleek lines of the silver.
This shawl pin has been handcrafted from sterling silver, and is unique. It's hallmarked by the London Assay Office with my maker's mark.
The design means that it's great at pinning back chunkier winter knits as well as lighter fabrics. The pin is 6cm/ 2.5" across, and the stones measure 12 mm each
