This year we're making an EPIC catvent wrap, perfect for cocooning up in for warmth, draping elegantly for a bit of glam or sitting on (if you're a cat). It's going to be a flexible pattern with several sizes and variations (including a scarf option if wraps are not your thing).
The kit contains;
- 25 mini-skeins - individually wrapped and labelled. The packaging will all be recyclable, and as minimal as I can make it while still keeping the yarn a secret and the unwrapping fun.
- 2 x 100gr skeins - one in white and one in a coordinating grey
- the wrap pattern, plus a second scrap-using pattern of your choice
- plus a few little crafty extras scattered throughout the calendar, including an extra-special extra for Christmas day.
Yarns
4-ply wool - this is a springy, bouncy, sturdy wool with a bit of crunch and character. (80m in each 20g skein)
4-ply merino bounce - this is a lovely soft and bouncy high-twist fine merino. (80m in each 20g skein)
4-ply sleek merino (organic) - this is a smooth, sleek merino with a gentle shine. (80m in each 20g skein)
The wool yarns are pictured in a little lineup. They're ordered, left to right, as;
- DK wool
- 4ply wool
- DK merino
- Bounce merino
- Sleek merino
Colours
We're going full whimsy this year, with a bright-pastel unicorn-coloured rainbow, and a soft grey contrast for the border.
The yarn shown isn't the yarn that will be in the calendar - that would ruin the surprise. The yarn circle is last year's Carnival colourway, and the yarn lineup is the Unicorn yarn I dyed for sweater kits, and which made me desperate to dye a perfect unicorn rainbow.
Extras
Add on a project bag and enamel pin in a new-for-advent catty design, or go for the whole adventstravaganza, and get the stitchmarker calendar as well.
