In 2022 I'm greeting every season with a shawl surprise - and here's the third! Like all the shawls in this collection, it's knitted in a 100% silk yarn and a floofy laceweight mohair, and plays with the lovely contrasts in texture between the two yarns.
Leaf Storm is about the swirling of leaves in autumn winds, and the satisfying crunch when you stomp into a drift of them. It's a long, asymmetric triangular shawl.
I've dyed up two special autumnal colourways for this.
Leaping from haystacks - a light, soft straw shade with smidges of a more acid yellow and a mellower pinky-purple.
Jumping through leaves - a rich, deep warm red, with just a little deeper varigation..
(I've knit the sample in a prototype of Leaping from haystacks - the final yarn is a little bit warmer)
Kits contain all of the yarn you'll need (one skein each of mulberry silk and a fluffy mohair-silk), a pattern download and - optionally - a handmade sterling silver shawl pin designed especially for this shawl.
The kits will be posted out in mid-July, and the pattern will be released on August the first.
