I used my own button-embroidery kit for the Big Cats cardigan in Cat Knits - and I've put together some kits for you to do the same! They're a lot of fun to make.
Each kit has the makings for eight big 29mm buttons. They contain;
button blanks
cat-printed fabric (there are a few spare cats here - choose your favourites for the buttons!)

embroidery needles
instructions
